Safeguarding Training
Safeguarding Training, provided by the Church in Wales, is available for church workers and volunteers, and some levels of this training are mandatory depending on your role in church.
Module A (Safeguarding Awareness) is available as an online course, which takes around 45 minutes to complete and can be done in your own time. This module is available to everyone, and is mandatory for all clergy and church officers. Module A is available here.
Module B (Understanding Safeguarding in the Church) is mandatory for all clergy, MAC members, church wardens, and some other positions within churches or the Ministry Area.
Module C (Safeguarding and Leadership) is mandatory for all clergy and MAC members, and some other positions within churches or the Ministry Area.
Modules B and C are regularly delivered both in-person and online via Zoom. You can view in-person courses here, and online courses here. These courses can be booked onto via the booking form here.
Other Safeguarding Training may be mandatory for those in specific roles; if this is the case, you will be contacted regarding your Safeguarding Training requirements.
If you have already completed the required Safeguarding Training, it is mandatory to re-do some of this training, including Modules A and C, at three yearly intervals.
If you are unable to access any of the above training, or are unsure what Safeguarding Training is mandatory for you to undertake, you can contact our Ministry Area Administrator at CwmtaweMAA@cinw.org.uk.
